TXU Energy Services, a subsidiary of TXU, one of the world's largest energy companies, was facing the de-regulation of energy services. In order to build customer loyalty in a de-regulated environment and increase overall revenue, TXU Energy Services launched TXU myHomeKey.com. This site is a home management portal that offers a number of home-related services, primarily centered on home repair and maintenance.

Most people are aware of the Internet's ability to allow companies to reach global audiences. TXU Energy Services had no intention of targeting the world with their Internet advertising efforts -- they only wanted to reach the homeowners within their North Texas service footprint.

Digista negotiated a number of website sponsorships with some of the most visible sites within the TXU footprint. Several of the sponsorships included prominently placed sponsor ID banners and content exchanges between TXU and local news sources. Digista was also able to negotiate value-added benefits, such as on-air billboards featuring the web address on local newscasts and regular exposure in print ads in local newspapers (all of which were negotiated in addition to the online sponsorships).

With the success of the online sponsorships as well as other Digista recommendations and services (direct email, and tracking and optimization) TXU was able to meet their user registration goals for the launch phase.
